Atlas

The realm of Albion

Cities, ruins, cursed lands and sacred glades: every place named in the tales.

City · The heartlands

Albansreach

The jewel of Albion, its towers scraping the heavens. Beneath the royal palace lies the treasury where Lord Varrick sat on a mountain of gold, bound in the Chains of Greed.

Wasteland · The south

The Ashen Glade

Blackened trees and smoldering earth, scar of the Ash Drake. Its cries echo your deepest regrets.

Prison-fortress · The mountains

The Bastion of Varn

A monolith carved into a mountain's face, never breached. Drakvar bound himself to it to keep the Shard of Varn from the world.

Lair · The west

The Black Spire

A dagger of stone against a stormy sky. Beyond it, the lair of Karnyx, veined with sickly green light.

City and forest · The west

Blackmere

Eadric's and Rykard's home: a grand cathedral city on the edge of a cursed, skeletal forest. Traitors sold its defenses to the Dragon Kin and it burned.

Fortress and town · Cliffs of Wyvern's Reach

Blackthorn Keep

A ruined bastion of the Sigil Knights above a marsh-bound town of twisting streets. Kael died beneath its rotting banners; Kiernan learned the shadows in its alleys.

Trial · Unmapped

The Bridge of Doubts

Blackened stone over a bottomless chasm. It tests the soul, not the body, and no traveller who crossed it ever spoke of what they saw.

City · The heartlands

Brynmor

Seat of House Brynmor and a gilded palace that never warms. Its chancellor sold its council to Malakar, and its people went hungry under Dragon Kin banners.

Sacred site · The storm coast

The Cliffs of Greyhold

Desolate cliffs where the Eternal Flame has burned for centuries, tended by its Keeper.

Village · The west

Dawn's Hollow

A tavern town where travellers rarely stay more than a night. The Silver Circle pact was sworn in blood on one of its tables.

Swamp · The lowlands

Eldmoor

A poisoned mire of perpetual mist, ruled from a sunken cathedral by Vaelthrax the Wyrm. Eadric lost his comrades here and came back years later to end it.

Fortress (destroyed) · Eastern border

Emberholt

The proud fortress that guarded Albion's east until the Dragon Kin swept through it like a storm. Ysador found no survivors in its ashes.

Realm · Beyond the Gate of Shadows

The Evershade

A void-skied wasteland where a man's deepest fears take form and wear his face.

Village · The Moorlands

Fallow Vale

A village emptied by the Gilded Wraiths, spirits of greed, until Eadric broke their curse with Dragon's Blood.

Village · The far north

Frosthaven

Houses huddled against eternal winter, and at its edge the Last Hearth: the forge where Slayers' blades are made and the Sigil is burned into the arm.

Barrow · The far north

The Frozen Barrow

A hill sealed in eternal ice, holding the Oathstone. Oaths sworn on it are chains until death.

Portal · Edge of Blackmere

The Gate of Shadows

A runed archway carved into a cliff. None who entered returned, until Loric.

Ruin · The forest of Blackmere

Gildmere Abbey

Golden spires reduced to jagged fingers. Home of the Silent Custodian, haunt of the Hollowed Knight, resting place of a fragment of the Eschaton Shard.

Fortress-tomb · The Ashen Spires

The Hall of the Unyielding Oath

A hidden mountain fortress where the stone knights of the Silver Wardens keep eternal vigil over the Relic of Unity.

Village · Edge of the Shroudlands

Hallowfen

A village consumed by despair, now lit by the Lantern of Lyria.

Wilderness · Far from the warring kingdoms

The Hills of Albion

Rugged hills bathed in amber dusk, where four broken souls swore the oath that founded the Society.

Vale · Between two cliffs

The Hollow Vale

A place of mourning where the unremembered dead whisper on the wind, and where the Lyrican Harp waited beneath a skeletal tree.

Lair · Grayspire Mountains

Hollowpeak Keep

Obsidian spires on a mountain summit, lair of Zorynthal the Stormwing Wyrm. Callum died in its roofless throne room; so did the dragon.

Battlefield · The old kingdom

The Iron Wastes

Villages buried in ash, where Sir Ardent Carroway made the last stand of the Silver Circle.

Library · The heartlands

The Library of Gildenspire

Towering shelves of Albion's history and forbidden truths. The Whispering Stone was shattered in its deepest chamber.

Wilderness · The west

The Moorlands

Mists coiled like serpents around cairns and withered trees. Maeve's cottage stands at its edge.

Volcano · Valley of Scars, southern range

Mount Wrathspire

Rivers of molten fire and a cavern of embers where Igneorath sleeps. It erupted the day Eadric took the Heartfire.

City (occupied) · North coast

Raethwyn

A coastal city taken by the Dragon Kin, its defenders slaughtered and its people driven into the sea. Eadric swore on the Oathstone to reclaim it.

Fortress · Cliffs over the plains

Ravenspire

The blackened fortress that has never fallen to an outside force. Kael and Ysella were lost in its first siege; Lorien's Starshard broke the second.

River crossing · The borderlands

The River Tarn

A crumbling stone bridge in the mist where twenty villagers, a Slayer and a Bastion turned back a Dragon Kin column.

Ruin · Forest of Eldwyne

The Sanctum of Reflections

A circular chamber carved into the earth, holding the Mirror of Betrayal.

Glade · Heart of the Whispering Woods

The Shadowed Glade

Perpetual twilight beneath a canopy so dense no sun reaches the floor. The Silent Weaver's tapestry hangs here.

Lair · Beyond the Bridge of Doubts

The Shadowed Keep

Towers like jagged teeth where the Veil Wyrm, dragon of despair, nested.

Cursed land · The north-west

The Shroudlands

A fog where the sun never touches the ground. The Lantern of Lyria lay dark here.

Ruin · Unknown

The Temple of the Ashen Flame

A cracked, vine-choked temple whose brazier flares with silver and crimson fire for the chosen.

Tower · Wastes of Vyrn

The Tower of Forgotten Truths

A broken blade of stone holding the answer to any question, at a price. Here Eadric learned what the Dragon Kin are.

Vale · The west

The Vale of Thorns

Vines that bleed crimson when cut hide the entrance to the Whispering Well.

Sacred forest · The green heart

The Verdant Glade

Home of the Lifetree, whose bark shifts between green and gold and whose essence bound Albion's champions together.

Ruin · The highlands

The Watchtower of Highmarch

A crumbling tower in the rolling grass where the Keeper of Choices waits at a chessboard of black and white marble.

Forest · Older than the kingdoms

The Whispering Woods

An ancient forest whose roots stretch into other dimensions and remember every footstep. Veylara and Fenwynn guard it; the Silent Weaver keeps her vigil in its Shadowed Glade.
