The story
Svartmyr has wandered Albion for years, and everywhere he goes people stand a little straighter afterward. His creed is simple: 'I make people stand.' He taught the village boy Renn to hold a staff before he let him hold a sword, and freed Renn's village from bandits without killing a single one.
He and Eadric are old friends who trade insults before battles. When Eadric asked him to hold a bridge over the River Tarn against a Dragon Kin column with twenty frightened villagers, Svartmyr laughed, taught them to fight dirty, and cut the enemy lieutenant down on the crumbling stone.
In the Whispering Woods he met Veylara and felt a song he had never heard: a life by a lake, wildflowers, her hand in his. She told him it was real, in a world beyond this one, and gone. He chose to carry it anyway. 'If we were different people in another life, Veylara... I think I would have loved you.'
Appearance
A towering man in his mid-forties with a strongman's build, a completely bald scarred head, a thick braided auburn beard bound with iron rings, and piercing pale eyes under a heavy brow. He wears battered dark leather riveted with iron, a wolf-fur mantle, a belt buckle shaped like a tower, and old runic tattoos down both arms.
Signature
A long-hafted glaive with a broad curved blade, its runes glowing faintly when he fights. He strikes to incapacitate, not to kill.
